Yellow Collared Macaw (Ara auricollis)
Also known as the Yellow Naped Macaw. The primary body color is bright green with blue flight feathers and red and blue feathers in the tail, as well as a yellow collar. Wing span is approximately 8 to 10 inches (photos below).

Trainability
Like the Severe Macaw, these feathered friends are extremely social and love to mimic speech. They are known for forming strong bonds with their human keepers. They are quite intelligent and should be provided plenty of toys, ropes, swings and LOTS and LOTS of wood to chew on. They eat a large variety of nuts, fruits, vegetables, seed and commercial pellets. They are well known for their playfulness and acrobatics.
